A CARING IMPRESSION LEFT ON KC
More than 3,000 United Way/CFC Day of Caring volunteers spread-out across the Kansas City metro area Saturday morning, June 7, armed with rakes and shoves, paint brushes and rollers, spatulas and tongs and a determination to improve the community. 2008 CAMPAIGN LEADERS NAMED
Peter deSilva and Ed Tervol, Jr., have been named to lead the 2008 Kansas City area United Way campaign. One is the CEO of one of our community’s largest banks. The other is a union representative who spent more than 28 years working in manufacturing. Although they come from different backgrounds, they do have something in common: both want to help others and believe that United Way is the best way to assist people in need in our community.
